Services at Windcrest include:

Amenities at Windcrest include:

2.    In-house pharmacy services
3.    Physical, speech and/or occupational therapy
4.    Transportation for personal, medical purposes
5.    Incontinent supplies

Activities
Each of the five levels has unique daily activities to match the resident's cognitive and physical abilities. Activities focus on daily living, the need for social interaction and cognitive exercise. The goal of activity programming is to give residents opportunities to make choices, have some control over their immediate environment, and gain a sense of self-esteem.

Cooking
Games utilizing math, history, and geography
Reminiscence therapy through storytelling, exploration of family photos, and mementos of the past.
Pet therapy

For those who are further along in the disease process, activities are more simplified but equally important.  Attention is paid to visual and physical stimulation through the use of mobiles, colored building blocks, music, and art, utilizing more one-on-one methods.

Special events are also planned.  Annual events include:
•    Valentine Social - Families are invited to bring their loved ones out into a common area for live entertainment and refreshments. For couples, this gives them the sense that they are on a date.
•    Annual Antique Car Show and Barbecue – In May, families are invited to assist their loved one to the Antique Car Show, live entertainment and lunch. Our volunteers are also recognized.
•    August Ice Cream Social - Families are invited to make their favorite homemade ice cream and join us for live entertainment, cookies and fun.
•    Candy Christmas Village - Each year we convert the multi-purpose room into a candy Christmas village. We invite family members to tour the care center throughout the holiday season. Also, we have a Christmas party for each of the living centers.
•    Spring and Fall ARTREACH Receptions - The Center for Contemporary Arts provides an artist to work with our residents each spring and fall. Families are invited to bring their loved ones to a reception to meet the artist. The residents of Windcrest create all the art featured at the event.
