Sears Methodist Specialty Services offers private-duty services to help you with your individual needs, ranging from meal preparation to personal care. Services can be provided in your home, whether you live independently or live in an assisted living community or nursing home.

Admission for Specialty Services is easy. No doctors orders are required. The client must complete some simple paperwork and sign our service agreement prior to receiving services. There is no age requirement or income requirement. If you live within a 60-mile radius, we can be there.

The Sears Specialty Services team includes trained personal assistants, Certified Nurse Aides, Licensed Vocational Nurses and RNs. Whatever the need, we have a caregiver qualified to serve you. Also, all employees must pass a pre-employment drug screening as well as a background check.

Care can be provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week if you so choose. Our services include:

Homemaker / Home Management
 - Light housekeeping
 - Laundry & light ironing
 - Meal preparation

Personal Care
 - Grooming
 - Bathing
 - Dressing
 - Assistance using the restroom

Companionship
 - Sitting with client
 - Games
 - Recreational activities

Transportation / Our employee remains with the client
 - General errands
 - Grocery store
 - Hospital
 - Doctor appointments
 - Beauty/barber shop

Technology
 - Medication dispenser machine
 - Fall sensor
 - Emergency response system
 - Tele-health monitoring

All Specialty Services are Private Pay. Resources for aides are available through the Area on Aging and the Veterans Service Office. There is a two-hour minimum for all services.

FAQs:
Q: How much do services cost?
A: Services range from $13 per hour for a personal attendant to $24.50 per hour for a Licensed Vocational Nurse. Rates increase by $1.50 per hour for weekends, and holidays are double the rate.

Q: Are there any options to help pay for these services?
A: Financial assistance is available through the Area on Aging as well as the Veterans Service office.

Q: Can I choose my caregiver?
A: In most cases we can accommodate special caregiver requests. If you would like to change your caregiver, you have the right to do so at any time.
