Mesa Springs Health Care Center residents and their families appreciate the careful planning that goes into the care of each individual living at the Health Care Center.  Whether it is a special diet or a special activity, the needs of each resident are evaluated and addressed.  The care plan team looks at the quality of life issues that integrate medical, emotional, spiritual and social needs.

Mesa Springs Medicare Certified Skilled Nursing Care and Rehabilitation Services

In Mesa Springs Health Care Center's Medicare Skilled Nursing program, nursing care is coordinated by a Registered Nurse in conjunction with an in-house skilled rehabilitation team of Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists.  The goal of Mesa Springs Health Care Center is to increase and restore functional skills which have declined following an illness, surgery or accident.

Individualized programs available in our health care center for rehabilitation include:

• Swallowing restoration
• Strengthening
• Gait and balance training
• Grooming and hygiene
• Fine/gross motor coordination
• Cognitive retraining for safety awareness and to regain memory and organizational skills
• Speech restoration
• Alternative communicaion

The rehabilitation team also provides interventions for pain management, positioning, wound healing, fall prevention, and prevention of contractures to promote the highest level of independence and quality of life for residents at Mesa Springs.
