The Canyons' seven story brick building is entirely enclosed and gated for residents' safety and security.  Much of the outside has ornate stonework dating from the 1920s.  Since the building originally served as a hospital, the size and floor plans of the apartments are as unique as the building itself. There is a large front portico and covered west lawn patio to enjoy while visiting with friends or simply relaxing on beautiful Panhandle days.  Forty-four covered parking spaces and ample uncovered parking are all within the gates of the community.
