FAQs:

Does SMC have Medicaid beds?  
Yes, we have a limited number of Medicaid beds in our nursing center, but we do not have any Medicaid or CBA apartments in the assisted living portion of our campus. We generally keep a waiting list.

Can I use your medical director as my physician?  
Our medical director and his associates are able to accept some of our patients. Arrangements will need to be made prior to admission.

Do I have to use your medical director as my physician?  
No, as long as you have a local physician with admitting privileges to one of our hospitals and he or she is willing to take calls for you while you reside at SMC, you may use your own doctor.

Do you have a waiting list for your cottages?  
Yes, we do maintain a waiting list with several people; however, when a cottage does come available, not everyone on the list is quite ready to make a commitment. Please consider allowing us to place your name on the list.
