History 

Sears Methodist Center (SMC) was named after two pioneer West Texas ranching families, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sears and Mr. and Mrs. John Sears. What began as a 36-unit retirement center in 1966 has evolved into a 212-home continuum of care campus with 20 independent living cottages, 75 assisted living apartments and a nursing center with 117 beds.

SMC is the flagship campus belonging to Sears Methodist Retirement System, where our reputation for caring and commitment to serve originated and continues today.
